Bosch Packaging Technology is set to showcase its new pharma solutions at this year’s Achema event in Frankfurt, Germany, which will take place between 11 June and 15 June.

At the event, the company will exhibit its R&D, line and service competence, complemented by Industry 4.0 solutions.

The company will exhibit market novelties and portfolio expansions, digital solutions and services under the Pharma Liquid and Pharma Solid World sections.

Under the Pharma Liquid World section, the company will exhibit a new preparation system combined with a filling machine for sterile injection solutions.

Bosch subsidiary Pharmatec has developed the new process system, SVP250 LF, for the production of injection solutions. The conical shape of the process containers helps to produce solutions between 15 liter and 250 liter capacities.

The company will also exhibit preconfigured versions for different product characteristics such as clear solutions or suspensions. They will be used for product transfer from the preparation system to the ALF 5000 filling and closing machine.

Bosch will also showcase MHD system for aseptic filling applications. The system is designed for packaging of pre-sterilized vials and syringes

Featuring robotic technology in the isolator, the MHD system can be equipped for further packaging types and changing processes.

The company will exhibit AIM 3 inspection technology for the safe testing of glass containers, and Moeller & Devicon’s semi-automated MSA assembly machine for the assembly of multi-piece disposable pens or auto-injector.

Under the pharma solid world segment, Bosch will exhibit Hüttlin’s new Xelum R&D entry-level unit that supports continuous production.

The company will also exhibit GKF 720 system for processing of highly potent solid dosage forms.

Its other solutions exhibited include CPS 1900 WTE module with tamper evident function and integrated checkweigher for the serialization of folding cartons.

In addition, the firm will showcase its Industry 4.0 solutions such as Pharma MES:SE browser-based software solution for GMP environments. It captures, stores and visualizes machine data.

Bosch Packaging Technology pharma business unit head and executive management member Uwe Harbauer said: “We combine mechanical engineering expertise and extensive pharmaceutical know-how in a unique way.”
