BOBST has signed an agreement with tapes and self-adhesive product solutions maker Tesa to provide joint solutions for flexographic printing and enhanced cohesive support for their clients.

Switzerland-based flexographic printing machine provider BOBST will offer complete solutions to customers to grow their brand.

Under the agreement, which came into effect in January 2023, both companies will combine their market requirements’ expertise and technical facilities to develop new solutions to meet urgent customer needs and changing market demands.

BOBST’s customers can use Tesa’s tapes and other solutions to save time in job preparation and press setup. This will help minimise waste for more sustainable operation and provide products with more consistency and repeatability.

The solutions will also use profitable and sustainable ways to maximise productivity and eliminate waste in the printing and converting industry.

CI Flexo Product marketing head Frank Jurczyk said: “Bobst is pleased to take the next step in the established relationship with Tesa, as we strengthen the cooperation between the two businesses to provide an all-inclusive solutions package of equipment and consumables.

“Bobst is constantly evaluating new opportunities that will benefit customers, and our vision for the future of the packaging industry includes working together with other providers, such as Tesa, who are also experts in their areas. Together we can add more value and better help our customers optimise the production process.”

Based in Germany, Tesa is engaged in the production of splicing tapes, advanced plate mounting tapes and sleeves, cushioning foams, and other complementary products.

The products are intended for use in CI and inline flexographic printing for flexible packaging, labels, corrugated boxes and folding cartons.

In February this year, BOBST supplied its advanced BOBST NOVACUT 106 ER flatbed die-cutter to packaging and medication dispensing solutions provider Jones Healthcare Group.
