MeadWestvaco’s Packaging Resources Group and the Specialty Films Division of Honeywell have developed a paperboard that seals consistently to Honeywell’s Aclar high moisture barrier film. Printkote EasySeal Plus is said to give pharmaceutical manufacturers a reliable and cost effective new substrate choice for high barrier blister packaging.
The material is also said to seal at low temperatures with short dwell times, resulting in faster line speeds, and less product and ink degradation. It is also claimed to provide better adhesion to other films and foils, including polystyrene and PET than many competitive products.
