A new hybrid lifting trolley from Besco combining electric lifting and manual movement is designed for cost effective and easy roll handling on to and off converting machinery says UK agent Engelmann & Buckham.

Two sizes are available – the CB2.6 can lift rolls up to 600kg and the larger, the CB2.10 can cope with weights up to 1, 000kg. Both have hydraulic lifting powered by on board electric battery, operated by push buttons and selector. The trolleys are equipped with handles and rudder for easy steering and positioning and swivel wheels.

Safety features include a mechanical parking brake, which immobilises the trolley on the floor. A pressure valve limits the load to be lifted to a pre-set value and non-return and flow control valves ensure controlled lowering of the load. A side shift device for centring the cylinder and a lip safety feature are options.
