The facility is situated near the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, and complements the current 100,000ft² facility in Santa Ana, California.

Developed as part of Berlin Packaging’s time- and money-saving inventory management programs, the new warehouse is expected to increase efficiencies and boost overall supply chain.

The Ontario facility is equipped with 23 dock doors for loading and unloading, and a fully-secured yard with two separate entryways to help facilitate on-time delivery of items.

The ISO 9001:2015-certified facility is set to primarily serve the food, beverage, cosmetics, personal care, and industrial chemical sectors.

Customers of the Ontario facility can work with Berlin staff to customize their inventory program requirements.

Berlin currently offers pallet configuration, smart barcoding, and other specialized services to its customers.

In addition, the mega-warehouse includes a training facility for the employees and customers to share their experiences in the areas of personal, career, and business development.

The training space is also expected to be used for new training programs of the company.

Berlin Packaging Southern California vice-president Kyle Boyd said: “Our investments in Southern California, combined with our significant presence in Napa Valley with our 430,000ft² warehouse and our locations in neighboring Arizona and Nevada, provide outstanding, unrivaled service to our customers in California and beyond.

“The opening of our Ontario office and warehouse reflects our mission to increase the bottom line of our customers, be it through low packaging costs, exceptional service, reliable logistics, or additional capabilities that are above-and-beyond what many have come to expect in the industry.”

Berlin is primarily involved in the supply of plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures.
