US-based hybrid packaging supplier Berlin Packaging has completed the acquisition of glass packaging decorator StyleGlass.

Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, StyleGlass specialises in the decoration of glass packaging for the food, beverage, beauty, and pharmaceutical end markets and offers decoration techniques, including glassware painting and printing.

According to the hybrid packaging supplier, every Styleglass employee and production location will be retained as part of the transaction.

Berlin Packaging MED CEO Elias Valavanis said: “The acquisition strengthens the design and innovation capabilities we offer to our customers, one of the key pillars of our hybrid packaging supplier approach.

“Joining our creative and technical forces will bring more value than ever to our customers.”

With this acquisition, Berlin Packaging will boost its expertise in the decoration of glass packaging and broaden its integrated services offering.

StyleGlass chief executive officer Christos Charizonas said: “We share many common values with Berlin Packaging, such as a passion for creativity and a willingness to grow and to give our clients beautiful and high-quality packaging that exceeds their expectations.”

StyleGlass is Berlin Packaging’s fifth purchase in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) and its eighth acquisition overall this year.

Last month, Berlin Packaging acquired glass packaging solutions distributor European Packaging Solutions (EPS).

With offices in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Albania, EPS offers a wide variety of pre-made and custom glass packaging options, as well as 30 proprietary moulds.
