Through the brand integration, the company continues the coordination of the brand presence at the European level

Thimm is integrating the Thimm Packaging business division, located in Sibiu, Romania, into the Thimm pack’n’display brand. Through the brand integration, Thimm continues with the harmonisation of the brand presence at the European level. The Romanian customers profit from the adjustment in the form of a newly expanded solution portfolio for the point of sale. In this way, the family-owned Thimm company is further expanding its leading role in the market for packaging and displays.
The basis for the brand integration was the further development of the production location in Șura Mică, a municipality in the Sibiu district (Romania) through an extensive investment package. Among other things, Thimm invested in a state-of-the-art corrugator, which commenced operations half a year ago. In addition to considerably expanded production capacities, greater delivery flexibility and optimised quality factors, as of now, customers will profit from a broader portfolio from Romania: Parallel with solutions for the packaging of goods, displays for the presentation of goods at the point of sale will be available in future.
“The goal is for our customers to always receive the best solution”, says Michael Weber, Head of Corporate Marketing. “As a result of the brand integration, our Romanian customers will also profit in future from the know-how transfer of the experts from Thimm pack’n’display. Our now more than 1,600 employees live and maintain the pioneering spirit prevailing in our company. In this way, the people at Thimm make the solution into the best possible solution for customers.”
Already in April of this year, the production plants in Alzey, Castrop-Rauxel, Eberswalde, Essen, Northeim, Wörrstadt, Wolnzach (Germany) and Všetaty (Czech Republic) were united under the new Thimm pack’n’display brand. “We are now also very pleased to have united our Romanian plant with Thimm pack’n’display”, Weber continues. “Thimm pack’n’display has established itself in past months as the brand for the packaging and presentation of goods. The incorporation of our Romanian location is another step toward a unique brand presence in Europe.”
