Presstek claims its Applause product is the world’s first process-free thermal CTP plate. The wet offset plate, for run lengths up to 100,000 impressions, is designed to go from platesetter to press with no intermediate chemicals or processing. It is available initially in North America, with Europe and Japan to follow later.
