Anheuser-Busch has designed new packaging for premium light lager, Bud Light, in time for the (National Football League) NFL season in the US.

The light beer will be provided in both cans and aluminum bottles, which are designed to allow football fans to support their favorite team.

Anheuser-Busch has developed 28 new designs to help fans support their 28 NFL teams across the country.

The company is also providing a special 36-pack, which represents all 32 NFL teams.

Bud Light beers with updated packaging are already available in certain markets, and will be launched nationwide later this month.

The team can and aluminum bottle design features each team logo and catch phrase or rallying cry for each NFL franchise.

In addition, each can will include Snapcod, which helps consumers to take a photo of them using Snapchat

Anheuser-Busch NFL Partnerships and Strategy director Anna Rogers said: "NFL team packaging has become something fans look for from Bud Light year after year.

"We are proud to continue that tradition and give fans another way to support their favorite teams while enjoying NFL football with their friends.

“We are also very excited to roll out NFL packaging on aluminum bottles for the first time in addition to cans."

Bud Light, which was introduced in 1982, is a premium light lager marketed in the US.

A blend of premium aroma hop varieties and combination of barley malts and rice are used in the brewing of Bud Light.
