Industrial equipment supplier AMP Robotics has unveiled its plans to expand its presence in Europe to meet the demand for its AI and automation solutions.

The firm is exhibiting at IFAT 2022, May 30-June 3 in Munich, for the first time with an aim to provide dedicated local support and service for the market.

In September last year, AMP partnered with Recyco to install its first AI-guided robotics systems in the UK and Ireland and has since deployed recycling solutions around Europe.

AMP provides a portfolio of recycling solutions based on its neural network, which is built on a data engine that has recognised more than 50 billion containers and packaging types in real-world situations.

The firm said that its AMP Cortex is a high-speed robotic sorting system, which has been installed in over 80 locations on three continents.

The AMP install base includes the world’s biggest known fleet of recycling robots, resulting in the world’s largest neural network of field data for recycled materials.

AMP Vision is a modular computer vision system that aids operators in understanding material flow throughout crucial phases of sorting operations and provides a faster alternative to manual sampling audits.

When integrated with AMP Clarity, a material characterisation and robot performance software package, users can monitor real-time material characterisation and performance measurement throughout a facility.

The firm recently added new Clarity features including mass estimating, robot pick assignments, warnings, and status tracking, as well as increased reporting capabilities.

AMP Robotics founder and CEO Matanya Horowitz said: “As we continue to scale our business and innovate new ways to improve the economics of recycling, we’re committed to the European market and our growing customer base there.

“Our efforts to modernise Europe’s recycling infrastructure are important to our global investors and critical to realising our vision of a world without waste.”
