Global packaging firm Amcor has implemented hybrid cloud services from Orange Business Services to improve application reliability and security as well as reduce intra-company complexities and costs.

The hybrid cloud services from Orange Business Services will allow Amcor to connect its worldwide infrastructure, enabling to simplify operations and gain from a single pay-as-you-go solution.

The hybrid cloud solution will enable the packaging firm to enhance interactions and collaboration among employees in over 40 countries across five continents.

Amcor has deployed the hybrid cloud solution to host business applications and appliances.

Orange Business Services’ hybrid cloud infrastructure will help consolidate both private cloud managed infrastructure and global public cloud services, helping to improve the company’s global operations.

The private and public clouds are available to the customers in three regions, including Americas, Asia and Europe. It will enable to connect seamlessly through an integrated and secured virtual private network (VPN).

Amcor has selected Orange Business Services’ Flexible Engine solution, which is based on Openstack technology, for public cloud services.

The company is also using Flexible Engine services, including the management of operating systems and databases and hosting IT infrastructure applications for users in Europe, Asia Pacific and the US.

Orange Business Services also offers various managed services to Amcor, including security, private WAN and internet connectivity, telephony, videoconferencing and mobility on a global scale.
