A polyvinyl alcohol-based water-soluble film for packaging powdered detergents, specifically developed for use with chemically aggressive alkaline products, has been introduced by MonoSol LLC.
The M-3030 film is said to offer faster solubility and a lower price point than competitive films and can handle alkaline products up to a ph of 14, including formulations containing sodium hydroxide.
It is available in 25.4 – 50.8µm thicknesses and widths up to 54in.
