A high-quality, advanced robot palletising system delivered by CSi to equip the new premises of a large co-packer in The Netherlands has been ‘a stunning success’, says the UK supplier.
The customer in Etten-Leur manufactures household and personal care products, including detergents, bleaches and shampoos, and is set up to produce one-off promotional ranges. All of which requires a highly flexible production process able to handle numerous different packaging formats and sizes.
The new building incorporates 23 production cells positioned around a central storage area, where products for each production cell are stored close to their point of use. Each production cell has an out-feed conveyor which transports finished products towards CSi’s centralised palletising system consisting of five robot palletisers with each having three pick points.
The fully automated system has very high capacities and guarantees the highest levels of reliability, says CSi.
