In the USA, adhesives specialist HB Fuller and Darex, supplier of sealants and coatings for cans and closures, have formed a joint marketing and distribution alliance. Under the
terms of the agreement, HB Fuller will sell Darex’s Daran PVdC latex for flexible packaging in conjunction with its Hydroflex family of waterborne adhesives for drybond and wetbond laminations.
Daran coatings act as a barrier to transmission of oxygen, moisture, aroma, grease and other materials. They are used extensively in multilayer packaging applications.
Darex is a business unit of WR Grace.
