RPC Sæplast is set to launch a range of round storage containers made from food-grade polypropylene into the European and American markets.

According to the RPC subsidiary, the roto moulded double-layered containers are said to combine convenient handling with optimum product quality during processing.

They provide hygiene and protection, according to its manufacturer.

The exterior of the new round storage containers is tough and their strong construction is said to guarantee durability for the long term along with an easy washdown.

RPC says that the new round tubs will be launched in 600 and 660ltr sizes after being developed initially in cooperation with its Asian customers.

These new sizes reflect a transformation from the more conventional insulated container design, stated RPC. At the same time, the new sized containers still manage to provide effective protection and convenience of use for a broad range of food products, especially shrimp, squid and tilapia production.

The rounded contours are suitable particularly to even enable stirring of products. On the other hand, the double insulation enables stable temperatures to be sustained during soaking.

Additionally, the round design of the containers brings down the consumption of ice as per RPC.

The company says that the tubs are manufactured in approved material by the FDA/USDA and EU. Besides, they are inter-stackable up to three high, and convenient to handle using a pallet forklift or jack.

Like all other Sæplast containers, the new round storage containers can be personalized with logos of customers and specified with a range of tracking options like barcode, RFID technology and QR code.

Earlier in the year, RPC Sæplast introduced a spill-resistant form of its 660L PE container for holding liquid or semi-fluid products.
