Switzerland-based manufacturer Mouvent has unveiled its new line up of digital label printers at this month’s Labelexpo 2017 in Brussels, Belgium.

Showcasing its digital label print technology, Mouvent came up with three label printers having the ability to print up to seven colors on a broad range on substrates like paper, self-adhesive, flexible materials and wet-glue labelstock.

The three printers LB701-UV mini label press, LB702-UV label press and LB702-WB label press have production speeds of up to 100m/min and have a native resolution of 1200×1200 and optical 2000 dpi.

Mouvent CEO Simon Rothen said: “We believe we are at the start of something very special. Each one of these three machines represents a leap forward in its range, and together, they will take digital label printing to a whole new level.

“We look forward to bringing these to market as soon as we can so that people can benefit from this innovative technology.”

The LB701-UV mini label press is claimed by Mouvent to be the smallest high-productivity label press available in the market and can help even the smallest print shops come up with high quality and highly flexible label production.

Mouvent says that the LB702-UV label press, which falls in the narrow web segment, enables fast and easy industrial label production at an incredible TCO (total cost of ownership).

The third press, the LB702-WB label press is claimed by the Swiss firm to be a game-changer in digital label production.

According to Mouvent, the printers are based on its ingenious digital printing technology dubbed Mouvent Cluster which is based on a highly integrated cluster.

Mouvent co-founder Piero Pierantozzi said: “The Mouvent Cluster is the key technology behind the Mouvent machines, resulting in high optical resolution for a crisp, colorful, very high printing quality, as well as a never-seen-before flexibility and possibilities in terms of machine development.”

Mouvent is newly formed joint venture between BOBST and Radex.
