German flexible packaging converters' trade association IPV has signed an agreement to promote the inter-plex.com platform within its member base.
“Members of IPV are now able to work in a more co-operative manner with each other,” the association says. “Until now, such co-operation has not been possible on a large scale due to the limited communication infrastructure.”
By using the internet, inter-plex.com is said to allow large volumes of non competitive information to be passed and made available to participants, changing the way in which companies are able to work and meet the demands of their customers.
Says sales director Tim Law: “We see this as the first step towards a greater co-operation between converters of packaging, resulting in long term gains for the industry as a whole”.
