Inspire is Rexam's name for a new range of films, adhesives, non woven and foamic multiplayer composites providing a portfolio of technologies that add value to products for the wound care market.
Explains medical marketing manager Peter Walker: "Through this range we are able to supply high performance materials without the hurdle of large order volume, whilst at the same time keeping costs and lead times down. Rexam is also in a pefect position to become a professional independent partner with the research capability to develop new differentiated technologies," he continues. "These components can then be incorporated into category leading products and applications."
Initial response to the first new product, Inspire 1304, a breathable adhesive, is said to have been extremely enthusiastic. "It meets a long standing need for improved breathability in wound dressings," claims account manager Fraser Kinnaird.
