The inaugural meeting of the ICE steering committee has unanimously endorsed the show's strategy to focus on coating, drying and finishing reports organizer Angel Business Communications.

Softal’s Bernd Martens commented: “We do not want a supermarket event, selling a large variety of goods, but a specialized, focused exhibition involving research institutes.” Theo Hesselmann, of Planatol, agreed: “We need to emphasize the core message – ‘New Technology’ – the market in the future for coating, adhesives and tapes.”

Walter Kraemer, of Reifenhäuser, said: “Specialist exhibitions are not about size, but about getting the right companies and covering the right issues, such as technology innovations.” Carlo Cevenini added: “We should work together to deliver a specialized event; it’s what we all need”.

Says ICE sales manager Michael Boyle: “With its specific focus and new location, ICE 2002 will attract companies who offer customers competitive advantage and want to be seen as market leaders.”

ICE 2002 will be staged in Munich on November 27-29.
