Sales of proofing presses to Saueressig and 4Packaging in Germany, and Shwaiki, in Syria, in the space of two weeks have helped to boost British-Hungarian manufacturer Ameco-Slotter’s order book to record levels.
Spokeman for Ameco-Slotter Peter Hughes says recent technology advances such as the automatic press pre-setting system have been a major factor, with engravers anxious to introduce more standardization and at the same time reduce set-up times.
