Rigid packaging services provider TricorBraun has acquired glass packaging provider Continental Bottle Company and its affiliate, UK glass decorator DiBro, for an undisclosed sum.

Through the acquisition, TricorBraun aims to expand its European presence.

TricorBraun president and CEO Court Carruthers said: “Continental Bottle Company and DiBro have been leaders in the UK packaging industry for decades.

“We are pleased to partner with these trusted companies – enabling us to offer new products and expanded supply chain options to customers – while investing in their continued growth. We are thrilled to welcome these outstanding teams to the TricorBraun family.”

Continental Bottle is a UK-based manufacturer of primary glass packaging for the cosmetic and fragrance industries for more than three decades.

DiBro has provided services with its expertise and experience in glass decoration to the spirits, wine, cosmetics, and fragrance industries for more than 20 years.

Continental Bottle Company and DiBro managing director Lee Emsden said: “Given the excellent reputation and long-standing customer and supplier relationships we’ve built over many years, finding the right partner for our next stage of growth was crucial.

“TricorBraun’s focus on team members and delivering for customers with a keen emphasis on growth makes it our ideal home.”

As per the deal, all members of the CBC and DiBro teams will join TricorBraun and continue to work from their current offices.

CBC and DiBro will continue to operate as separate, stand-alone companies.

Also, both firms will operate as Continental Bottle, a TricorBraun company, and DiBro, a TricorBraun company.

Since its inception, TricorBraun has teamed up with management teams to effectively acquire and accelerate growth for 36 packaging firms around the world.

Last month, TricorBraun expanded its Australian presence with the acquisition of plastic and glass packaging provider PB Packaging.
